Sometimes a painting just won’t work… move on.
Abstract painter Lynne Taetzsch walks us through the birth of a painting that she struggled with at different stages in its creation. She describes herself as a problem solver and like in so many other walks of life, stepping away from a puzzle and then looking at it afresh the next day is often the best way to progress.

Very nice talk on your process, Lynne. It corresponds to what I go through a lot of times. Right now, in fact. It seems like sometimes that I have to go through the ugly and deconstruct stage before I can come up with anything I like lately.
Risk…good thing, all you have to do is cover it up if it doesn’t work out.
