Beamdrop

Chris Burden’s beam drops have taken place all over the world. This video is thin on the “why”, but certainly not short on the “how”.

All you need is a field, a crane, some beams and a cement pit! I’ve also added an interview with Chris Burden.

The original took place in New York and was recreated at the Middelheimmuseum Sculpture park in Antwerp in 2009. This Flickr photoset shows this latest incarnation.
